Nomad Leather bands:
Today we are going to start with nomad. Nomad has quite a few options depending on whether you are looking for something rugged, or something sporty or something classy; they’ve got you covered. All of their bands feature their own custom hardware, and they look great. It gives the Apple watch a slightly larger appearance so they can be on the masculine side and they trend towards the larger 42 to 44mm models. The first thing we just looked at was their rugged strap, which has a sporty look. This strap is very similar to a polo sports band, and it hides the end of the group itself underneath, so it doesn’t stick out and get in your way, and we think that you don’t want that to happen when you’re working out or playing sports. Moving from these rubberized sporty bands, we’re heading to the classier band starting with the modern strap. This contemporary strap looks great; it comes both in brown as well as in black. For our space black Apple watch, we, of course, have the black strap. With black hardware, it looks great over time, thanks to the Horween leather which has been used to craft these bands. Then we have their shell cordovan band, made from Horween leather, which is similar to high-end shoes; but this time it’s being used to create a great looking watch band. These have a slightly shiny exterior with unique undersigns and have a little bit of a green tint which is different from every band that you pick up. Genuine leather bands are always some of our favorites. Because the more you wear them, the more they break down, the more they develop that rich patina, and the more they become yours distinctly. The shell cordovan one especially is something incredibly unique that we’ve only seen from maybe one other manufacturer out there. Once you get one, you can see the unique look like ours which we attached to our 42 mm space black Apple watch. The whole band is somewhat thick and gives it a distinct look compared to Apple’s own sports bands.
Clockwork synergy leather bands:
Next on our list is clockwork synergy. They have a ton of different bands to choose from, so we picked a few of our favorite in a few different materials. This first band is made of suede, and the color it came with is dark navy. It has nice contrasting stitches along the top and the bottom that give it a little bit of a pop. Moving on to the leather bands, we have the simple tan band that we see all the time, but they’ve done a great job in making it their own. The buckle is beautiful and oversized making it easy to get the band on and off. Coming on to their bombers strap, this is leather, but it’s kind of like broken down on the outside for that weird (in a nice way) freckled appearance. It looks fantastic, and this is one of our favorites. It looks more broken in as far as the leather bands go and you don’t have to wait for long to actually get there.
